[CL] Kissing Bandits
Apr. 20th, 2009 08:07 am[Completely open. If you have a verse with Dean and you want their interaction to be colored by that, just put the verse in the subject line. Otherwise, if you're non-canon, he'll treat you like he's meeting you for the first time. If you're canon, he'll treat you like he does in canon. All in good, somewhat-clean fun. The only muse mentioned here that this is binding on is Sam, who is
likely_evil.]
It's the time of the season for kissing! Set up a kissing booth and have at it, you crazy kids. Just be careful you don't catch any diseases!
This was going to be like taking candy from a baby.
He didn't know why they hadn't thought of it sooner. All the carny jobs they'd worked over the years, and they never thought to make the easiest money they'd ever made. Well, technically it took some convincing to get Sam to do it, but, well -- Sam was a bitch anyway. That wasn't anything new. He had managed to convince Sam to do it, and now they were positioned at two different points in on the fairgrounds, girls at their sides for the male customers, sporting signs that read: Kissing Booth: $5 a Smooch.
Thought Dean wouldn't have minded being a "customer" of this particular girl himself. Angie was friendly and bubbly, and they got to talking while they waited for customers, but other than that, Dean was starting to get a little bored. Where were the chicks already?
Money Raised so Far (to be updated as the day goes): $260

Lisa was pacing, looking at her watch as he walked in and out of the kitchen. She was waiting for Ben, and starting to get a bit pissed off. This had been her idea - Sam, Dean, Ben and her having a nice cooked meal while Beth was on a job and Maddie was with her friends. Just a bit of family time.
And Ben was almost an hour late. "I told him not to be late today," she muttered, picking up her glass of wine again.
"Hey, it's alright," Dean said with a shrug. "I don't have anywhere to be. How 'bout you, Sammy?"
"Nope," Sam said, coming up from behind Lisa and placing a hand on her back lightly. "It's okay. Something probably came up and he couldn't call. I'm sure we'll hear from him soon."
She nodded. "Yeah, you're right. Both of you. It's just... ten years of worrying about that boy doesn't go away overnight, you know."
"Oh, trust me," Dean said with a chuckle. "We know."

Dean stood in front of the apartment door for a long time, trying to figure out exactly what he was going to say when Ben opened it. He knew that there was nothing he could say that would make logical sense and make things better, but he was going to try at least. It wasn't totally his fault, but it wasn't Lisa's completely either -- he knew that now. That much wasn't going to change.
But he was hoping he could at least make it somewhat better.
He ran a hand over his face before moving forward knocking lightly on the door and sliding his hands back into his pockets again. This was going to be -- awkward. To say the least.
