In which Dean needs some air.

It was a nice night, and Dean figured it'd be good to get out for a while.

It's not that he didn't love spending time with Lana and his brother, but that didn't mean he wanted to watch them having romance novel moments all the time. That plus the fact that Lana was pregnant and Dean was already making notes for himself. Like what to do when Sam actually got around to knocking her up because God knows Dean wasn't doing that again. That much was certain.

Sam seemed to be doing well enough on his own, so Dean decided to get out of their hair for a little while, and just go for a walk. He needed a break from the happy couple that wasn't a couple, and he didn't feel like driving so wandering around downtown Smallville seemed to be the aim of the game for the evening. It was quiet, and comfortable, and Dean had to admit, he was starting to like it here. He was starting to like it here a lot.

With the exception of the demon living over the Talon. That he could do without.

The demonic reminder only made him sneer and he leveled his arm against her chest, aiming her on keeping her where she was.

"Maybe you should stop actin' like one, and I will."

Ruby gave him a nasty smirk.

"Maybe it's the company."

He sneered back. "Don't be ridiculous." With that, he gave her a firm punch across the jaw, before starting to push away. "I'm a joy to be around."

She didn't let him get too far away before she grabbed him and flipped him over and got in a punch of her own. "Sure, to a masochist."

Dean saw the punch coming and did his best to move with him to lessen the pain. Once he did, he locked a leg over hers, using it as leverage to flip them back over again, not about to just let her have the upper hand. He grabbed the wrist that she had punched him with and pinned it to the ground next to her head.

"That's just because you don't know me all that well."

She wasn't sure what exactly it was that caused the reaction. Maybe it was just a natural response to a good fight, however short it had been at this point, or the specific motion of pinning her wrist. Whichever it was, Ruby was starting to think maybe she should get to know Dean just a little bit better.

She reached up with her free hand, not to attempt another swing, but to pull him down into a hard kiss.

Dean froze at first, returning the kiss on instinct but pulling back slightly after a moment. He stared at her, confused, as though he wasn't sure what he was doing, before leaning back in to kiss her again, this time matching her on it.

Ruby groaned and jerked herself free of his hold so her hands could roam his chest and back. Her kisses were hungry and aggressive, and she knew she wanted more.

There could, however, be a problem she wasn't thinking of at the moment, at least considering who she's with. Granted they weren't in an area that was readily visible, they were still in a rather public place.

Dean wasn't really thinking about that either, because more to the point, he really didn't care. Yes, she was a demon, and yes, this was one thing he should definitely not be doing, but at the moment, he was too caught up in the moment to stop himself.

Without even thinking about it, Ruby's hands were jerking at his jacket with intent to remove it. There would be no witness, no way for word to get back to Sam and Lana, no reason to find a door to close behind them. Screw that. Better yet, screw him.

He let her shove it off his shoulders, before reaching down to get his hands under her shirt, pushing it upwards -- not to remove it completely, but just enough to let his hands do more than they were.

As soon as the jacket was off, her hands were doing the same, until she decided to break her lips away long enough to help him out of it. Ruby then flipped him and straddled him, sitting up long enough to remove her own shirt. Based on the brief glance she got of his body, she was beginning to wish she'd done this sooner.

Dean continued to move with her, pushing the necessary clothing out of the way and letting his hands search for as much skin as he could, getting as close as possible. Eventually, he collapsed back against the ground, spent and taking the moment to try and catch his breath.

Ruby stared up at the clear, star-filled sky, wondering exactly how that just happened. Yes, she enjoyed it, very much, but the fact was, she just screwed Dean Winchester. Not the brother she would have seen herself with, ever.

It took Dean about five minutes to get control of his faculties, but even then he couldn't really believe it. "Did we just do what I think we did?"

"You mean have hot sex in a public place?" She swallowed before she continued, not sure if she should like the answer. "Oh yeah."

[hasperkynipples]

"Oh." Dean nodded for a moment, still trying to process that. "Huh."

The demon didn't reply, just sat up and reached for her pants. She assumed the rest of her clothes were on the other side of him.

He started doing the same, pulling himself together enough to walk out of the alley.
