I'm not sure if the fact that I'm sorry will help at all, but I am. This isn't how I wanted things to go. In fact, if we had more time, I probably would have done a lot of things differently. But the visions are getting bad and I'm not sure how much more time we have so for now, this is goodbye.
I need you to know that this was my choice. That the roads were laid out for me and while there were other options, I don't think there was a way that I could have had what I wanted, and still protect the people who need protecting. There's something coming, Wynonna, and I'm not sure if there's a way for me to see it through to the other side where we win.
But I need you to know that if I had another way, a better way, I would have stayed. I would have chosen you and come back to you. I need you to believe that.
I'm not a big believer in fate, you know that. I don't know if I believe that all of our choices are laid out for us, and we don't have a say. But I can make a call that I think will give us our best chance. Better me dead than anyone else. Better me dead than you. Because if I can't get this done, I know you, Jo and Sam will.
When you're done being pissed at me, I need you to find Sam. I know he's not your favorite person, but if I'm gone, he's going to be alone and I would really appreciate it if you could keep an eye on him. There's a letter in your bag for him from me. If nothing else, please make sure he gets it.
