Dean is disgusted by the fact that not only is there Lady Gaga in one of his fanmixes, but it’s also the title track. However, he wasn’t going to fight with me on the fact that it works for Ruby, and for him as well, if it had been told from a male perspective.

Turn out the lights
I actually learned of this song through a Dean/Ruby fic, so it’s only fair that I use it for a Dean/Ruby mix. To be honest, a lot of these songs deal with the early end of their relationship, when Dean and Ruby were just using each other for their own mutual pleasure. Because Dean still refuses to admit that there was more than that to it. He’s stubborn that way.

The required Zeppelin song for a Dean mix. It was actually really hard to track one down for Ruby, because Zeppelin love songs, while they do work for Dean, don’t really work for this relationship. Dean and Ruby are so dysfunctional because of the things they will and won’t admit, but there is still, apparently, a Zep song for everything.

Runnin' for home
This is probably the most romantic that Dean’ll ever get when it comes to Ruby. And while Meat Loaf is also the king of the cheesy romantics, this really isn’t. But it’s how he feels, more or less.

This is actually pretty Dean-oriented, believe it or not. For dark and twisted reasons he doesn’t want me to get into. But I think it’s pretty self-explanatory if you listen to the song.

I won’t stand here and squeal
Though I would like a feel

Why is evil so hot?

This one … is pretty self-explanatory. And meant to make you laugh.

It's cute in a way, till you cannot speak
And you leave to have a cigarette, knees get weak
escape was just a nod and a casual wave
Obsess about it, heavy for the next two days
It's only just a crush, it'll go away
It's just like all the others it'll go away
Or maybe this is danger and you just don't know
You pray it all away but it continues to grow
This one actually isn’t meant to be a song about sex, but it’s very much Dean and Ruby. Dean can’t get her out of his head, and while he knows he should walk away, he can’t. He just keeps coming back for more.

I'm gonna love you with my hands tied
Show me your teeth
Yes, I know. Not one Gaga for Dean but two. This is actually more of a Ruby song, I think, for some of the other verses, but this verse I think goes both ways. And I also like this song far more than I should. But that’s another matter entirely.

This, actually, is another Ruby song. I thought it was Dean at first, but really, in the end, this is just Ruby gloating. But then again, she can’t walk away either, so she’s really not one to talk.

Well you're a real tough cookie with a long history
Of breaking little hearts, like the one in me
Before I put another notch in my lipstick case
You better make sure you put me in my place
And another Ruby one. I hear her saying the point of this verse with her typical sarcasm and daring Dean to try. She’s not asking for it, she’s trying to see if he’ll actually do it. Surprisingly, Dean has enough respect for her not to.
